MUMBAI: First, there were fireworks … then there was love, and a child was born. But it turns out, the two-year relationship and post break up friendship between Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott was way more way complicated than anyone realized. Let's dig up the dirt.

Jenner first connected with Scott after finally breaking things off with on-again, off-again boyfriend Tyga. Things blossomed quickly. Within a month, according to a Us Weekly, Scott was “telling friends that he and Kylie are a real deal.”

In September 2017, Jenner was reported to be four months pregnant. And Jenner gave birth to their daughter, Stormi, in February 2018. But by December 2018, rumors of cheating plagued them. What happened from there? Have a look.

Troubles begin

Pictures of a man resembling Scott holding hands with another woman appeared online in December 2018. Scott denied the accompanying rumors, telling Rolling Stone, "I need her with me to operate. She's that one." Then, in March 2019 after more cheating rumors emerged, Scott deleted his Instagram account and canceled a show in Buffalo, New York, tweeting, "Buffalo I'm so sorry I can't perform tonight. I'm under the weather and it f--king sucks! Can't pull up without full rage. Show rescheduled to March 10 all tix are valid. See u soon."

Ain’t a game, boy

After a few months of bliss, things soured again in September 2019. Jenner posted a selfie with the comment, “ain’t a game, boy.” Also, a framed photo of Scott that had been visible in prior selfies was now gone. Jenner would not explain what ‘game’ she was referring to or what happened to the framed photo.

White wedding

Also in September 2019, Jenner missed several scheduled appearances such as presenting at the Emmys. Her excuse was that she was hospitalized with “severe flu-like symptoms.” Then Jenner showed up at by herself at Justin Bieber’s wedding to Hailey Baldwin. It was revealed the couple had separated due to work stress and trust issues. Sources said the pair had “been trying to make the relationship work for a while, but several weeks ago they decided to step away, at least for now.”

Tyga

In October of 2019 Jenner went out with friends and ended up at the Sunset Marquis — where ex-boyfriend Tyga just happened to be. The next day, Jenner took to Twitter to discuss the whole Tyga thing saying, “The internet makes everything 100 times more dramatic than what it really is. There was no '2am date with Tyga'. You see me drop two of my friends off at a studio that he happened to be at." Jenner added, "Travis and i are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi. Our friendship and our daughter is priority."

Friends Reunited

Scott — now back on Instagram — posted that “It’s really affecting when u see false things said about u. Once again these false stories about me cheating are just simply not true. Focusing on life, music, and family at this moment is what’s real.” Soon after, Jenner appeared in one of Scott’s Instagram stories. But those around the pair insisted they were still just friends. A source told Entertainment Tonight that "Since Travis has some shows and is traveling, Kylie has Stormi more [often], but Travis is always in touch with her when he’s on the road. Kylie and Travis don’t want any drama, and are on the same page of keeping Stormi happy."

Drake surfaces

Jenner was then spotted at a party with Drake. A source told Us Weekly that Jenner "spent the most time near Drake and his friends. Kylie was rapping to songs and dancing with her friends while she was next to Drake, but they weren’t dancing together; they seemed to have a connection though." Another source told Us Weekly that "They seemed to be enjoying each other’s company. They were joking around, and Kylie was laughing. She seemed to be really happy and in a great mood and her and Drake seemed very comfortable with each other. There seemed to be an attraction there.”

Reconciliation?

In November 2019, Jenner flew to Houston for Scott’s Astroworld Festival. Scott posted a picture of the flowers she brought him saying, "Love u, That I really do." But the rumours of Jenner and Drake, weren't going away. One source told Us Weekly, "Drake and Kylie don’t want to jeopardize their friendship by crossing any major boundaries. Drake doesn’t have any intention of taking on a fatherly role with Stormi, and he wants to have fun with Kylie with no strings attached and continue to have a friendship and be supportive of one another."

Damning statement

Perhaps the thoughts of reconciliation were premature. A source revealed to Us Weekly that Scott, while still in love with Jenner, “feels that their relationship was too fast too soon. He loves her, but he wanted to be able to live his life and travel and be with other people and not have to worry about always going back to his family."

Granny spills the beans

In December 2019, a revealing interview with Jenner’s grandma, Esther Jenner, suggested what she thought was behind the split — the fact that the pair were raising a child without being married. Grandma Jenner said, “Young people today, they think they can live together, start a family together, without being married, it doesn’t work! I don’t know." The pair seem to be doing fine as coparents to their daughter and as friends, but as to whether they'll ever recapture the fireworks of their initial romance remains to be seen.
