MUMBAI: With the entire world enjoying the content on OTT platforms, actor Abhinandan Jindal says that the actors who are part of the content on the web, are the ones bagging all the stardom. The actor, who is part of the show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Paayega, says that nowadays even biggies are looking to be part of OTT shows and films. “I feel actors on OTT platforms are the only stars because their image in the industry is different from the rest. The real talent and value of actors can be seen on OTT because on OTT actors come from the theatre and some of them are also senior actors. And so these actors are bound to be good. They are also getting a chance to showcase their real talent to such a wide audience. The whole youth is watching OTT, so for them, they are the real stars. Also, on the web, you get to know the talent of an actor in depth because you can perform without any boundaries and give your best,” he says.

The web is also known for its bold content and language. However, Abhinandan has no qualms about performing these scenes. “I am an artist and it’s my work to perform and I will so such sequences if it is the demand of the story. However, if the content is all about being bold then I won’t take it up,” he says.

The actor says that content on the web is specially designed to suit the youth. “Today’s youth discuss all of this and that’s the reason why the youth is a big fan of OTT actors. Subjects made on OTT platforms are such so that we can connect to it because they are realistic. I know on OTT, there is a lot of abusive language and bold scenes are shown. But it is shown because it happens in reality,” he says.

In fact, Abhinandan, too, has been getting a lot of request from his fans to try his hand at a web series or web-film. “I haven’t tried for OTT till now but, yes, people have been urging me to try t because of my thought process and my skills. I am young too and will gel with the crowd who loves watching OTT shows. Competition is everywhere, even on OTT. When you are a good actor, you won’t mind healthy competition. If you are deserving then you should get a chance,” he says.

He adds, “I haven’t seen many web series as yet, but I would like to. I watch light films so that my mood should be good because after shooting. I like to live a very normal and simple life and I am looking for such a project as well.”
