Aksha Pardasany on Kathmandu Connection 2, “For me definitely there is a lot of pressure” – Exclusive

MUMBAI : Aksha Pardasany, who impressed one and all with her performance in season 1 of Kathmandu Connection, will also be seen in season 2 of the series. The actress plays the role of a journalist named Shivani Bhatnagar. The audience, who have watched Kathmandu Connection season 1, are eagerly waiting for season 2 of the series.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Aksha and spoke to her about what audiences can expect from season 2, the pressure of a sequel, and more…

What can the audience expect from Kathmandu Connection season 2?

Season 2 is a lot more intense in terms of the way the story has progressed. In season 1, we focused a lot on the personal journeys of every character, and this time the whole conspiracy is much bigger. It’s about how these three characters are again brought back into this Kathmandu connection. So, we are going to see a much bigger problem in season 2.

When you star in a sequel is there a pressure to perform better than the last season?

More than pressure, the first thing is that it’s a very satisfying feeling because you sign a project completely on instinct and you don’t know what the audience’s reaction is going to be. So, for me, it’s an extremely happy feeling that we are getting accepted, and the platform has approved season 2; so the first feeling is extreme happiness. Later, when it sinks in that now we have to go and do the work there is some pressure. I have got so many wonderful messages from people who have loved Kathmandu Connection. So, for me, there is a lot of pressure, but at the same time, it’s extremely exciting.

You play the role of a journalist so did you do any research to play the role?

I did, and that was the only research I did because, to be honest, the kind of reporters and journalists we have today are very different from what we had in the 90s. Right now, for reporters it is not just about delivering news, it’s about giving your personal opinions on what’s happening, and in the 90s it was just about delivering the news. They had a particular style; they had body language. So, I went back to the 90s and watched their videos and news bites.

Kathmandu Connection 2 also stars Amit Sial, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Prashant Narayanan in the lead roles. The web series will start streaming on Sony LIV on 23rd December 2022.
