MUMBAI :On February 10, 2023, Shahid Kapoor's Farzi premiered on Amazon Prime Video to a favorable reception from both the public and the critics. Starring Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, and Bhuvan Arora, the series was directed by Rak & DK. Since then, the fans have been speculating as to whether or not season 2 is in the works. Shahid plays Sunny and confirmed Farzi 2 in a recent interview.

He declared that Farzi's second season would happen. He added, "I mean, the response was amazing. Also, the way the story ended, it was open-ended so there is an opportunity for a lot more to happen. It was not like a culmination. So Farzi 2 will happen, and if anything else I like, I will, but as of now, I haven’t said yes to anything for OTT because I had two releases this year, so I'm going to do some stuff for theatres now. But Farzi 2 will definitely happen."

He previously appeared in the action-thriller Bloody Daddy, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and starring Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Ankur Bhatia, and Vivan Bhatena. Shahid will next be seen in an untitled film alongside Kriti Sanon. It will debut on February 9, 2024, and Dharmendra, a great actor, will also star. Shahid and Kriti work together on screen for the first time in this movie.
