MUMBAI: Web series Candy has been the talk of the town ever since the trailer was dropped, this thriller has an amazing bunch of talented people which includes Richa Chadda and Ronit Roy in the leading role. Director Ashish R. Shukla who has been impressing the fans over time with his amazing work like Undekhi and Bahut Hua Samman has managed to grab the attention with this upcoming series Candy.

Team TellyChakkar got an exclusive chance to speak with the director of the show Candy, Ashish R. Shukla where he expressed his excitement and shared his shooting experience with the cast and also revealed about his accident on set.

Speaking about the show, director Ashish R. Shukla revealed that this is a cross-genre thriller with the touch of who done it a thriller with one of its kind. This series throws light not only on the serial murders and the issue of drugs but also throws light on humanity and parenting.

The director reveals that he and Richa Chadda have been good friends for a long time now, and always wanted to collaborate with her and said no other actress could have done what she had done in this web series, the actor is a lady Cop in her head itself. On working with Ronit Roy the director revealed that he is a big follower and fan of Ronit Roy and always looked forward to collaborating with him, and now that he got the perfect script and character for him he got this golden opportunity.

ASHISH R. SHUKLA ON HIS SHOOTING EXPERIENCE AND ACCIDENT ON SET

Ashish R. Shukla revealed that he always enjoys the Thriller genre. Also, the shooting process of the web series Candy is a good memorable one and also revealed that he had met with a small injury during the shooting of the series. The director revealed that he almost dislocated his shoulder as he was running out of the light and was rushing towards somewhere and he got tripped with a trolley and fell down on his shoulder. The director also revealed that it was great shooting in Nainital, and the makers have tried to cover Nainital in the best way possible in the series. He also reveals that every cast member was so much attached to the place that they were very emotional while coming back from the shoot.
