MUMBAI: Koffee with Karan is a Bollywood chat show. The biggies of the industry grace it and interact with the host Karan Johar.

The show has had six successful seasons, and now it is back with the seventh season.

Two years back, the show faced a lot of criticism post the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The public criticized the show, its rapid-fire round, and also blamed the show for bullying the actor.

But despite that, the show didn’t stop, initially, it was aired on Star World but now it will stream on Hotstar.

The last season was a huge success with celebrities coming on the couch and bearing their hearts out.

The one thing that grabs the attention on the show is the famous Rapid Fire round where all the guests will be asked some funny questions to which they would have to give a witty answer and the one who gives the best one will win the Koffee hamper that is designed by Karan Johar.

Until last year, Karan Johar was the judge who would win the show but in the last season he has invited the audience to vote for who deserves to win the hamper. 

It was because of this controversial rapid fire round that the show got backlash from the audience as they thought they felt the actors were defamed and were put down especially when it came to the ranking of the actors.

But today let’s see how the rapid fire round has changed over the period of time from being subtle to discussing actors sex life.

Check out the changes that it took over the years :

1 Season 1 and Season 2

In Season 1 and Season 2 the rapid fire round was very subtle where no sex talks or discussions were made. The round was purely based on movies and actors and it was liked by the audience.

Season 3 & Season 4

In Season 3 and Season 4, slowly the talks about intimacy and how someone should endorse a packet of condoms, etc also in the Ranveer – Anushka, Deepika – Sonam episode in Season 3 the rapid fire did have slight sexual questions and it all began from these two seasons.

Season 5, 6 and 7

In Season 5, the discussions were in the upper level. If one remembers the coffee shot round that took place in between a few actors like Siddarth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez the sexual talks began especially in the coffee shot round, there intimate details were shared. Even in the Priyanka, Ranbir and Ranveer episode it continued. The Twinkle and Akshay episode discussions about the inch and size of the  crotch was made.

In Season 6 we did see how discussion on the first night of marriage was made and how details were shared and much more especially in the episode of Deepika – Alia, Ranveer and Akshay Kumar this continued in Season 7 too with episodes of Alia – Ranveer.

Well, there is no doubt that the rapid fire round is the most controversial round but the audience has fun and enjoys it.
