MUMBAI: In his latest creation, Kadak Singh, streaming exclusively on Zee5, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury takes a detour from his usual depiction of Kolkata's vivid landscapes. The film, which debuted on the 8th of this month, has quickly become a digital sensation, praised for its stellar performances and captivating narrative.

Renowned for capturing the diverse and picturesque essence of Kolkata in his previous works, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury sheds light on the distinctive approach he embraced for Kadak Singh. Despite the film being set in Kolkata, the director consciously restrains the city's prominent display. When questioned about this choice, he explained, "It's confined in a room and it's coming from a different perspective. I am talking about certain elements, so it must come through my eyes, whatever I have seen."

Elaborating on his filmmaking philosophy, Chowdhury emphasized the importance of maintaining a specific perspective aligned with the film's narrative. He shared, "Everything is a perspective of the character, of the hotel, of the incident. This is very incidental, and we are only talking about the incidents. In that, I just can't show else it will become loose. The perspective is what I have portrayed and shown in the movie. This is a very mathematical film, and I can't give anything extra."

Kadak Singh, under Chowdhury's masterful direction, unfolds as a compelling cinematic experience, proving the director's adept ability to seamlessly navigate diverse genres.
