For her portrayal of the septuagenarian sharpshooter Chandro Tomar in Saand Ki Aankh, she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. She has since gained praise for playing women exploring their sexuality in Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare and Badhaai Do.
