MUMBAI: Mr & Mrs Mahi, actress Janhvi Kapoor recently shared a funny incident from a day when her dad caught her trying to be sneaky about a guy. During an interview with an entertainment portal, Janhvi recalled about the time when she revealed how her Dad Boney Kapoor caught a guy jumping out of her room’s window.

Janhvi said, “First floor was my room. This was the first house mom bought in Mumbai, when she started shooting. So this was like a bachelor pad and I snuck someone in once and I didn’t wanna let them out from the front door, so I said, you jump. So I said jump, and my car was here. It was a tall car, so I said jump on to the car and roll over and he did.”

She further said, “And then Dad saw it on the CCTV camera anyway and he’s like what are you doing and that’s why he put this grill outside the room, so no one could jump in and out.” However, she didn’t reveal the boy’s name.

Meanwhile on the professional front, Janhvi Kapoor is currently in the limelight for her new release, Mr. And Mrs. Mahi. The actress will be portraying the role of a housewife as well as a cricketer in the film. The hearttouching trailer features the lead hero of the film, Rajkummar Rao as Mahendra (Mahi), a former aspiring cricketer who now sees potential in Janhvi’s character, Mahi, a doctor. Encouraging her to become a cricketer, the trailer provides an eye-catching look into a story filled with dreams, ambitions, passion, commitment and the imperfectly perfect love story of Mahendra and Mahima that is sure to captivate audiences.

In an interview, Janhvi had earlier revealed that she underwent six months of immense training in order to learn cricket. Janhvi said, “It was an exhaustive process of six months to get into the skin of the character and sync into the role.”

Mr. And Mrs. Mahi will be Janhvi Kapoor’s fourth theatrical release, following Dhadak (2018), Roohi (2021), and Mili (2022). Mr. And Mrs. Mahi is all set to release on May 31.
