MUMBAI: Samantha Ruth Prabhu denies rumors that she and Salman Khan may appear in a Karan Johar film: "My upcoming project is to not have a plan." Rumours that Samantha Ruth Prabhu would be acting opposite Salman Khan in a Karan Johar project have been put on hold by the actor. The star made it clear that she intends to be selective in her future endeavours.

After receiving a diagnosis of the autoimmune condition myositis, Samantha Ruth Prabhu made the decision to prioritize her health by taking a one-year hiatus from employment. Samantha addressed her plans during a recent Instagram live session, denying persistent rumours that she would star with Salman Khan in a Karan Johar production in her Hindi film debut. Samantha said that her next project is to not have a specific plan.

Samantha said in her Instagram live session, “My next project is to actually not have one. Not having a plan.” She stated her desire to be more selective in the projects she chooses in the future, concentrating on jobs that push her to step outside of her comfort zone. She stated, “I want to be more selective about the things that I work on. The things that really push me out of my comfort zone, until I get a role like that, I think I am okay.”

There have been rumours that Salman Khan and Samantha may work together on a future movie from Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, under the direction of Shershaah director Vishnuvardhan. However, during a recent Instagram live session, Samantha denied these rumours.

Another South Indian performer, Nayanthara, recently made her eagerly awaited Bollywood debut in the movie Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan. The actor performs some action scenes in the movie in addition to romancing King Khan. With a current global total of Rs 900 crore, Jawan, a September 7 release starring Shah Rukh Khan, is poised to surpass Pathaan as the highest-grossing Hindi movie.

In terms of recent projects, Samantha most recently appeared with Vijay Deverakonda in Kushi. The movie received mixed reviews and had a mediocre box office performance. The Indian adaptation of the Prime Video series Citadel is Samantha's upcoming project, in which she will co-star with Varun Dhawan.
