Despite the show's obvious failure, it was both of their debuts, and their on-screen chemistry was greatly admired. When they competed as partners in the dance reality competition Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena in 2008, the two got to know each other. However, things got difficult when Sreesanth was charged in the match-fixing case in 2009. Along with breaking off their relationship, Surveen publicly assaulted him by making unrepentant comments about a match-fixing case.

Well, Surveen has finally met her true love in Earth Pharmaceuticals CEO Akshay Thakker after experiencing so many frequent heartbreaks and unsuccessful relationships. According to reports, the two apparently connected over mutual friends in 2013 and were supposed to first meet. They dated each other quite covertly before finally getting married in Italy in 2015. However, Surveen decided to wait almost two years before sharing this significant information with the public.
