MUMBAI: Gadar: Ek Prem Katha which released almost two decades agon around the year 2000 was a blockbuster hit and as become a cult movie. 

Till today the movie is known for its brilliant screenplay and dialogues and it considered as Ameesha and Sunny Deol’s best performance. 

For years they have been news doing the rounds that the movie may have a sequel but there wasn’t any confirmation about the same. 

Now as per media reports it seems that the makers have already figured out the plot, and have begun to work on scripts. Also the lead pair Sunny and Ameesha will continue to be part of the sequel.

Meanwhile, the director’s son Utkarsh who was seen playing their son Jeet in the movie is also said to be roped in for the movie's sequel. Utkarsh has already marked his Bollywood debut with the movie, Genius in 2018. 

When the entertainment portal contacted the director, he confirmed a thought being given to the sequel, but will wait for the right time to confirm the same. 

Anil Sharma said, “Talks about a sequel are on, but I will officially confirm at the right time. At the moment, things are at a nascent stage.”
