MUMBAI:  Priyanka Chopra's mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, and brother, Siddharth Chopra, arrived at the well-lit official residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and "suspended parliamentarian" Raghav Chadha on Pandara Road in Lutyens's Delhi as the evening wore on Wednesday in preparation for his nuptials to Parineeti Chopra.

They had come to Udaipur for the mehndi ceremony and what looked to be a late Sufi night as the countdown to Raghav and Parineeta's wedding on September 23–24 began in earnest.

A 'paath' was also held on Tuesday at Chadha's house. Bright lights were used to illuminate his MP's home, and Punjab Police officers were seen keeping a close eye on the attractively landscaped entrance to keep photographers on the opposite side of the busy road.

The bride and groom's friends and relatives were also seen coming for the festivities. They included former Test cricketer and AAP Rajya Sabha member Harbhajan Singh, FDC Chairman Sunil Sethi, and Chadha's maternal uncle, fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva.

Sethi said, “Har shaadi ke tyohaar mein celebrations bahut jyada jaruri hai. Parineeti and Raghav make a beautiful couple. It’s the pride of Delhi, and they are the most ‘made for each other’ couple.”

Raghav was wearing an outfit created by Sachdeva, much like he wore during his engagement, Sethi added. On social media, the couple's wedding card gained a lot of attention, reads, “Divine Promises: A pearl white Indian wedding …. Leela Palace. Jaimala: 3:30 p.m. Pheras: 4:00 p.m. Vidai: 6:30 p.m.”

The card features illustrations of the Udaipur countryside. The celebrations will begin on September 23 at 10 a.m. in the hotel's Maharaja Suite with Parineeti's "choora" ceremony. On September 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a "Fresco Afternoon" on the terrace next to the ballroom. The famous Taj Lake Palace will host Raghav's "Sehrabandi" on September 24 at 1:00 p.m.

At 2:00 p.m., the 'baraat' will depart from Taj Lake Palace. The 'A Night of Amore' themed celebration will start at 8:30 p.m. in The Leela Palace Courtyard with a view of Lake Pichola. Numerous political and Bollywood figures, as well as Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas, are most likely to attend.
