The 'repetitive' drunken ladies scene in Balaji shows

The

Folks at Balaji Telefilms must be keeping really busy these days given the fact that they have quite a few shows on air at different channels currently.

And with the hectic and erratic shooting schedules in the Indian television business, sometimes, in an attempt to meet deadlines, the creatives take a ‘thinking short cut’.

What are we getting at?

Well, we observed that Balaji’s four shows, namely Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (Star Plus), Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi (Colors), Kumkum Bhagya (Zee TV) and Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar (Sony TV) had relatively similar scenes.

Yes, the leading ladies in all the four shows were shown getting drunk and creating a tamasha.

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein saw Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) in an inebriated state, losing sense, talking gibberish, finally being rescued by Raman (Karan Patel).

Next in Meri Aashiqui, Ishani (Radhika Madan) too got drunk and created tamasha.

In Kumkum Bhagya, Pragya (Sriti Jha) during a marriage function got drunk and hit the funny zone behaving like a rockstar.

Sony TV’s Itna Karo Na saw Ragini (Pallavi Kulkarni) suffering from fever and due to absence of medicine, was given brandy by Neil (Ronit Roy). She went on a dancing spree post that.

May be the scene has proven to be a TRP stealer, thus being infused regularly in plots. Or is it a case of brain drain?
