How Debattama Saha juggles studies and acting

Debattama Saha

Newbie Debattama Saha, who is currently seen in Colors Bangla's daily E Amar Gurudakshina, says that she chose humanities over science as her stream because she wanted to concentrate on extracurricular activities.

“I had scored good marks in my board examinations and people had expected me to take science but I chose humanities. Creative things have always attracted me so I thought if I take humanities I will be able to focus more on my passion of music, dance and acting,” Debattama said.

The cute and chirpy actress is from Silchar, Assam, who is currently pursuing her English honors (second year) from Amity University (Kolkata).

Observing her Bengali pronunciation and accent slightly being different when we ask her how she is dealing with it to suit the show, she quipped, “I am following the script properly and delivering my dialogues as instructed. So, you see, I am managing. It just happens when I am in the flow.”

The young actress also shared that her friends at first couldn’t believe that she had bagged the role and that too of a female lead.

“When I informed about the development to my friends they were like ‘kya bak rahi hai behan? Wow! Seriously?’. And then they started demanding for a party,” she expressed laughing out loud.

Way to go, girl!
