Signaling the making of a sequel of Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Rowdy Rathore in Hindi soon, the remake of the same in Telugu has been announced. The Hindi film, that was directed by Prabhudeva, was a remake of the Telugu Film Vikramarkudu. Sources have confirmed that the sequel to the Telugu version which was directed by S S Rajamouli would be made. It has also been confirmed that Rajamouli won’t be wearing the director’s cap; instead his assistant Koti will direct the film. The sequel would however be produced by Rajamouli. Meanwhile, UTV Motion Pictures is also mulling to remake the Hindi sequel at the earliest. It is said that UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur has said that they would like to take the idea forward, “but there has to be an awesome story in the first place. It could be a prequel. It could be a sequel. Right now, we are enjoying its success," he has been quoted to have said. The year 2012 seems to be a very lucky year for Akshay Kumar, who has already scored his third century with films like Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore and Oh My God that too in just the tenth month.
