MUMBAI: Doordarshan has been a part of every millennial’s life for the longest time. The shows on DD shall always be considered as the “GOLD”. There were shows like Shrimaan Shrimati, Wagle Ki Duniya, Office Office that had reboot versions but the old ones had the charm of their own.

These famous names from today’s telly world were once a part of the DD club and did some brilliant shows, some of them look unrecognizable in those shows, and you would surely need to look closer to recognize them in their early youth. 

1. Varun Badola 

Varun was a part of Soni Mahiwal on Doordarshan in his early days, since then this lover boy has given major hit shows in the TV industry. He was last seen in Sony TV’s Mere Dad Ki Dulhan as Amber Sharma. 

2. Alok Nath 

Alok Nath was a part of many iconic serials on Doordarshan; from Buniyad to Basera, he has always essayed some prominent roles. Alok Nath was last seen in the show Mere Rang Mein Rangne Waali on Life Ok. 

3. Krutika Desai 

Krutika has been an eminent name in Theatre as well as the TV industry; her witty personality and glorious aura have always brought her some unforgettable roles. She was a part of Buniyad on Doordarshan. Currently, Krutika is essaying the character of Suman in Starplus’ Pandya Store. 

4. Amar Upadhyay 

Amar Upadhyay, yes! You read it right; he was a part of one of the most loved shows of DD Dekh Bhai Dekh. Currently, the dapper is essaying the role of Virender Pratap in Colors’ Molkki. 

5. Sumeet Raghavan 

Sumeet Raghavan played a significant role in Ramanand Sagar’s Mahabharat. He was seen in the role of Sudama. Currently, Sumeet is a part of Sony SAB's Wagle Ki Duniya’s sequel. 

6. Urvashi Dholakia 

Urvashi Dholakia is best known for her stint in Kasauti Zindagi Kay as Komolika, she actually debuted in acting with Doordarshan’s show Dekh Bhai Dekh.
