MUMBAI : Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has given us some memorable performances as an actor with films like Dil Chahta Hai, Tashan and Omkara, among many others. The actor also started his production company Illuminati Films with Dinesh Vijan and bankrolled several successful films like Love Aaj Kal, Cocktail, Go Goa Gone, and Happy Ending, among many others. Saif and Dinesh then parted ways and the former started his separate company Black Knight Films.

Saif produced the film  Jawaani Jaaneman, in which he also played the lead role. The Tanhaji actor will now return as a producer after nearly 4 years with  National Award-winning filmmaker Vinod Kapri’s next. 

The film is defined as a ‘gritty take on how a soldier manages to navigate his way in the jungle and survives the rough terrain’. Vinod is known for his films like Can’t Take This Shit Anymore (2014), Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho (2015), and Pihu (2018).

A source close to the project said, “Saif Ali Khan is reviving his production company, Black Knight Films, and plans to make at least one film every year from 2023 on. He wants to produce both theatrical and OTT projects and might not necessarily star in all of them. Vinod Kapri's film is locked, and it will get off the ground around June or July 2023.”

Meanwhile Saif was earlier supposed to be seen in Saket Chaudhary’s Mummy Papa Raazi, but the actor has reportedly backed out of the project. He will next be seen in Adipurush co-starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Sunny singh.
