MUMBAI :In 2022, Ajay Devgn had three releases, Runway 34, Thank God, and Drishyam 2. While Runway 34 and Thank God failed to make a mark at the box office, Drishyam 2 became a super hit. The actor’s next release was supposed to be Maidaan which was slated to release in February. However, the film has been postponed to 12th May 2023.
Maidaan has been delayed multiple times due to the pandemic, and now, it has been postponed once again. The movie is directed by Amit Sharma and it’s a sports drama in which Ajay will be seen as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The movie also stars Priyamani, Rudranil Ghosh, and Gajraj Rao.

Well, on 12th May 2023, the film won’t be getting a solo release. Divya Khosla Kumar’s Yaariyan 2 is also slated to hit the big screens on 12th May 2023. The movie, which is being directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, also stars Pearl V Puri and Meezaan Jafri in the lead roles. Yaariyan 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar under his banner T-Series.

Ajay Devgn and Bhushan Kumar share a great working rapport. The actor’s last two releases, Thank God and Drishyam 2, were co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, and they have even teamed up for Bholaa which is slated to release in March this year.
 
So, it will be interesting to see whether Maidaan vs Yaariyan 2 will happen at the box office or the clash will be averted. Let’s wait and watch.
