Today, we're going to take you back to a time when the actor courted controversy because a video showing him arguing with the police and attempting to avoid a breathalyzer test, sometimes known as a "Drunk And Drive" test, became popular on social media.

Allu Arjun's name was associated with scandal in 2014 after a video of him arguing with Hyderabad police officers went viral online. The video was recorded when he was pulled over by police while driving and requested to submit to a breathalyzer test. The 'Pushpa' star allegedly resisted taking it and 'argued' with the police. The actor in Tollywood received harsh criticism after a video of this claimed altercation between the cops and him went viral online.

Allu Arjun clarified the situation by posting on his official Facebook page after that. He also expressed his displeasure with the way the incident was reported. He wrote on Facebook, “Regarding the police stopping my car video, this is what happened that night. The police did ask me to blow into the breathalyzer, but I said I was a little uncomfortable with all the cameras at me. Once they were taken away, I did take the test and was let go by the police. And I don’t think Hyderabad police will leave anyone, caught drunk driving without proper action. The video is being circulated without this part. So stop this negative propaganda. Even if I have a few drinks I always walk back or ask someone to drop me off or take a taxi or an auto. It’s very disrespectful to see one of the media groups to leak the video and be edited in such a wrong pattern. (sic)”

On the professional front, In the follow-up movie Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun will return as Pushpa Raj in his upcoming big-screen appearance.
