Versatile actor Aamir Ali has done it all!! He’s been part of emotional dramas of the stature Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki, Honge Juda Na Hum, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangann Hoga. At the same time, he’s succeeded in packing a punch with his superb comic timing in Bhaskar Bharti and F.I.R.

Well, the one role that still eludes the actor has to be a grey-shaded role wherein he can show his nasty and mean side!!

Talk to Aamir and you will get the impression that he’s eagerly waiting for someone to knock on his door, and present him with a grey role in a TV show.

Says Aamir who is presently busy playing the protagonist Dylan in & TV’s Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls, “Of course, I will love to be the baddie in a show. This is one thing that I have never done. In fact, I am thankful that I have got the opportunity to be versatile, especially in the TV industry. I will prefer a role where I am not the typically good guy, but also not the typical bad boy.”

Ask him about the genre that was the toughest for him, and he avers, “Well, it has to be comedy. I am a fun-loving guy in real life. But to tickle bones with flawless comic timing, you really need to have it in you. I will say, I had a good learning curve as far as comedy goes with F.I.R. Even now, I will say that I am not a good actor. But with F.I.R., I learnt a lot.”

Talking about his present show Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls, Aamir speaks up, “It is a fabulous show, and I have been made to understand that the ratings have picked up really well in the last few weeks. There is so much of drama and developments lined for the coming month that I am sure viewers will like it all the more. I am simply enjoying being part of the show. The only toughest thing for me is the long commute hours that I have to go through, travelling between my set and home.”

Ask Aamir about plans of extending his family, and he states, “Sanjeeda and I need to know each other a lot. We have been keeping busy, and have not got time to travel around. I think we will take our own sweet time, travel the world and enjoy the togetherness before getting into the next phase of life.”

Well said, Aamir!!
