Their next association after Mahabharat, will be a show which will depict the life of the mighty warrior King Ashoka. Ashoka the Great as we know, was an emperor of the Maurya dynasty who waged a destructive war against the Kalingas, and later went on to embrace Buddhism after witnessing the mass deaths in the war. A reliable source states, “Swastik Productions is presently indulging in meetings with Star. They are having script level discussions, and the channel and production house is keeping the entire project very secretive.” A very well-placed industry friend gave us the information that Contiloe Entertainment had earlier pitched a similar concept to Colors. However, the show did not see its dawn. And now, Swastik Productions will certainly bring the tale of Ashoka to the audience.
