MUMBAI: The makers of television shows are trying their best to entertain the viewers. And now the TRP list of the top 5 most-watched TV shows of the previous week is out.

While Anupamaa, which stars Sudhanshu Pandey and Rupali Ganguly, has remained unbeaten for months now, there’s been a slight change in the ranks of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein and Imlie. Imlie, which was enjoying the second spot last week, has slipped to third spot with Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein taking its place.

Shows including Anupamaa, Imlie and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein have been in the top 3 for weeks now. Clearly, these family dramas are loved by the audiences. Be it Anupamaa’s struggles to cope with Vanraj-Kavya’s relationship, Sai-Virat’s marital tension or Imlie’s fight for her identity and education, audiences are quiet enjoying the drama and tension.

The fourth and fifth spot is same as earlier. Reality show Super Dancer Chapter 4 and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continue to be in the top 5. It seems Shivangi Joshi (Sirat) and Mohsin Khan’s (Kartik) engagement sequence has worked in the show’s favour along with the entry of Karan Kundrra as Ranveer.

Production houses are facing their own challenges with shooting outside Maharashtra and with lockdown in most places, these TV shows have become viewers' new favourites now.
