If sources are to be believed then Gajendra Singh’s Chhote Ustad will be back with a new season.

A source says, “Both the channel and the production house are contemplating to do the second season of Chhote Ustaad. If all goes well, the channel may soon announce the approximate launch date for it. Names like Sonu Nigaam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are in discussion to judge this show however things are not yet finalised. Gajendra has just launched his musical show Music Ka Mahamuqqabla down south and has been busy promoting it. So if we get a go ahead from the channel, the auditions can begin.”

The channel officials and Singh remained unavailable for comment.

Nigaam was last seen in Zee TV’s Sa re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs as a judge along with Suresh Wadkar and had reportedly said he will not do television in the near future. Meanwhile Rahat had judged Junoon two years back for Gajendra Singh and later did a musical show Yeh Shyam Mastani for Sony which had seven known different singers performing their favourite songs every week.

Aishwarya Majumdar had won the first season of Chhote Ustaad which had got good ratings. It is said the show may return by end of this year with Abhaas Joshi as a host.
