The news of Neela Telefilms’ Hamari Saas Leela on Colors going off air created panic amongst its actors. Some of the actors complained to CINTAA that they were yet to receive their contracts and wanted the association to intervene.

A source informed, “The show has not been doing well for quite sometime now and the only people responsible for it are the concerned channel and the production house. Initially when the show started it was meant to be a light-hearted one but when it didn’t work the makers decided to turn it into a family drama. But even when this failed the channel decided to pull it off air. However, there is still a hint of hope as the channel officials have said that they will monitor the show’s ratings for a few more weeks. If the numbers increase then it will be shifted to a different time slot or else Hamari Saas Leela will be pulled off air on September 16.”

Another source added, “The actors have been informed about the show going off air on September 16. Rajan Shahi’s Hawan will be replacing it. But the information did not go down well with the actors as they still haven’t received their contracts and one of them informed CINTAA about it. CINTAA official arrived on the sets around 8:30 pm yesterday and brought the shooting to an abrupt halt. However, few actors did receive their contracts just a few hours before the CINTAA officials arrived on the sets, so they left after giving a warning to allot contracts to rest of the actors in a day’s time.”

Aditi Sajwan aka Koyal of Hamari Saas Leela confirmed that CINTAA officials came on the sets but refused to comment any further.

Producer Asit Modi remained unavailable.
