The Navratri fest has been the talk of the town and the dandiya fever is rising with every moment!! So what are our telly stars up to? Tellychakkar.com got an opportunity to know what’s happening at the Borivili Navratri Fest where many celebrities have been invited as chief guests. Ridheema Tiwari, who is presently seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage, was one of the chief guests for the evening yesterday (21 October 2012) and she had a whale of a time and shook her leg too. “Since I have done my schooling in Gujarat, I always look forward to the dandiya events. There was a time when I used to dance all the nine days, all decked up. Yesterday I was invited as a guest at the Borivili Dandiya Fest and I had a great time interacting with the crowd. Though I preferred to wear a salwar, I had put on lots of bangles. I had a great time dancing with the crowd. Such events would be better without the restriction of the 10 pm closure. I would like to dance till 5 the next morning (smiles).” Giriraj Kabra, who is seen in Sahara One’s Piya Ka Ghar was also invited to the event and he decided to wear a typical Indian attire. “I had a great time at the garba event yesterday, and was amazed to see the enthusiasm people have towards dancing. I thought I was over dressed for the occasion, but when I went there I actually realized that I was under-dressed. When I was called on stage, I sang a song for the crowd and they liked it.” Aarti Puri, who is presently seen in Nautanki Films’ Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors, is going to the event today. Aarti told us, “I am from Punjab and have never attended a dandiya fest in my life. I am looking forward to my first today evening. I will be wearing a salwar for the occasion.” Among the other actors spotted in Borivili Navratri, Rajpal Yadav was a prominent name. And in the list of today’s celebrities, include Umesh Yamgarr, who is the casting consultant for many shows on television, Nikhhil Chaddha and Aarti Puri.
