Shakuntalam Telefilms’ Devi is all set to take a leap next month beginning with the little girl growing up to a teenage girl and it is post this leap that Devi’s mother will also realise that her daughter is no common girl but is immortal. The show will take its leap three months from its launch.
A source informs, “The leap was to happen after 69th episode that is somewhere around May. The production house is currently hunting for a girl who will play the grown up Devi. They had finalised on a fresh face, Roohi to play the title role but the channel apparently isn’t too excited with her look and now they have shortlisted actress Anjum Farooki last seen in Aapki Antara, to play the lead. Things will be finalised by tomorrow as to who will play the lead role.”
“A major twist awaits the viewers. As Chaudhary (Nimay Bali) who is all set to tie the knot with Chiraiyaa (Simona) will not be able to marry her. Ranbir who loves the girl will elope with her on D-day. Post leap, new characters too will be introduced opposite the existing ones. The track post the leap will introduce characters hailing from royal families,” adds our source.
