MUMBAI : Zee TV which has been entertaining viewers with shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya, and Bhagya Lakshmi among others is now gearing up for a new show. 

Zee TV's exciting new show, Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya ShivShakti, explores the healing power of love in a contemporary take on the Shiv-Shakti dynamic. Produced by Studio LSD Productions, with a stellar cast led by Arjun Bijlani as Shiv and Nikki Sharma as Shakti, the show has been a huge success since its debut, keeping audiences glued to their screens.

Darsh Mody entered the show in the role of Mr. Ranjan, and has already receiving alot of love for his acting chops.  The actor has been a part of projects like Jug Jug Jeeyo, and Crackdown.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor to talk about his acting process, taking on the show and so much more.

How did you get this part, what was the process of getting on board? 

I was sleeping and I got a call around 1 a.m. and was briefed about the character and was asked to send my audition immediately for a primary character cameo role in Shiv Shakti. They explained the character and it was quite interesting to me that I get to play a positive as well as a negative character simultaneously.

What is your acting process like, was this character easy to get into?

To be honest, it was a bit challenging at first but I had been waiting for a role like this where I get to be the good guy and the bad guy at the same time. Firstly I had to let go of Darsh's sketch of Ranjan’s character and think about what Ranjan would be like as a negative/positive person. Then I would just incorporate all the emotions and behavior of Ranjan on-screen.

Your character is going through major changes and twists in the show? What kind of an impact do you think it will have on the storyline?

The drama that Ranjan creates always has a huge impact on the storyline because Ranjan hurts a few people in order to win Shakti. Lots of twists and turns are in the storyline because of Ranjan’s collaboration with Mandira and Jija (Pappu Shukla).

Darsh has been impressing the audiences with his performance as Mr. Ranjan, and as Darsh said, a drama that Ranjan creates always has a huge impact, and it only makes us the viewers very eager to watch the show.
