MUMBAI: Avinash Mishra, who has been part of shows like Mariam Khan - Reporting Live, Yeh Teri Galiyan, Ishqbaaaz, Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke and last seen in Star Bharat’s Durga, has made a comeback with Dangal TV’s popular show Nath.

There have been reports stating about Avinash replacing Arjit Taneja. However, Avinash has refuted the news and shared, “I haven’t replaced Arjit but it a whole new character and I will play the lead role in the show. My character name is Aryan Mishra and he's a cop.”

On joining Nath, he said, “I've got back to television show after a year and found the show and character interesting and something I have not done before/.”

We asked if he took any reference for his cop role, he replied, “My character has a comic touch and he also a dedicated cop. I would say Aryan Mishra is a lot similar to Salman's character in Dabangg, and a lot like Robinhood.”

We asked, “How is feel proud wear the cop uniform, he replied, “Once I get into the cop look, it changes my attitude automatically. I get very serious while playing the cop character and also, I feel proud about it.”
