Popularly known for her powerful roles on television, versatile actress Manasi Joshi Roy will be soon seen back on the small screen with Star Plus’ upcoming show ‘Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar’.

We got in touch with the gorgeous Manasi Joshi Roy to know about her reason for returning to tv with Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar, her character and more, check out what she had to share: 

We are excited to see you on Television after a gap, tell us something about your excitement about being a part of this show?

I am very excited to be back on television, it's been a gap of 5 years and it's great to be back on the sets working, the energy, especially after the pandemic. It feels good to kind of have some sort of normalcy back in my life. I'm looking forward to this show and the response that we get from it.  

What should the fans expect from your character?

I hope my fans like this character of Sudha in the show, till date I am known as Sudha from Saaya, so I am hoping that the love I received for Sudha from Saaya, I would get the same for Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar too.  

Who is your inspiration behind the character?

I don't really have anybody as an inspiration, but I guess as an actor always draws upon the various people we come across in life. And, there are little bits of them that you take into your character. A lot of this character actually, to be honest, my mom-in-law she's this very dignified lady she's also lost her husband at a young age, has brought up her two sons, beautifully as we all know. And, and I think somewhere I feel, a lot like her, in my character, like my mom-in-law and that dignity and the strength, which, which she carries herself. I'm hoping that I can bring it to my character as well.

As we talk about Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar, what was your reason behind agreeing to the show? 

Actually, the writer and the producer of the show, Rajita Shama. She's the one who convinced me that I should do it. Her narration was beautiful the way she explained my character to me. And, when I told her I hope my role's gonna be interesting. She told me, rather she gave me a good compliment, that, we wouldn't have approached you for this role, if it wasn't an important character and we want you to be the Sudha, in this. So, yeah, that's the reason I agreed to do the show.
