Remember Raghu of Zee’s Jab Love Hua? Sudeep Sahir is back with a new show. This time on Star Plus and he is roped in to play one of the leads in Santaan. He’ll be essaying the character of eldest son Kartik in the family. “I was on a break after Jab… went off air. I was waiting for a meaty role and Santaan came my way. I’m happy and satisfied,” says Sudeep. Explaining further on his character, he says, “Kartik is the eldest child and very much pampered by the rest of the family members. He loves them too but has a different way of thinking. He feels money is the most important part of life which can make things happen. This creates some misunderstanding with the parents. To earn good bucks sometime you have to give more importance to your work over family. This is where the whole drama will start. The shooting is not yet on as the generation leap is yet to take place. It will most probably take place after the twelfth episode. We are all waiting for the same.” Is there anything besides this show? “I like to do one thing at a time. I want to concentrate on Santaan,” he utters. It seems he is not at all satisfied and happy. “There is no insecurity. For me, my family is priority and that’s the reason for the steady pace my career is taking. I’m content with the kind of work that is there in my kitty,” he adds further. Slow and steady wins the race is the mantra of Sudeep it seems.
