An excited Gitanjali says, “It was an impromptu decision as we decided everything in just 20 days. So one can term it as a hurried affair. The wedding took place in Delhi in a Maharashtrian cum Punjabi ritual.” Gitanjali’s designer brother designed her trousseau. Her wedding lehnga though was designed by Ritu Kumar. She says, “Generally it is my brother who designs all my outfits but everything happened so suddenly that he did not have the time to design the lehnga as it takes atleast a month to design it, so I just picked a beautiful magenta coloured lehnga from Ritu Kumar’s. Sikandar wore a sherwani.” The couple was back in Mumbai on 11th of March as Sikandar had to resume work but Gitanjali has called in for a much deserving break till 30th of March. Gitanjali feels that staying with an actor full time is fun. She says, “We keep asking each other of our respective call-time.” Talking about her honeymoon plans, the actress informs, “Sikandar has his dates blocked since the last six months and I can’t force him. But he has promised me to take me to Singapore in April.” The beautiful actress is spending some quality time with her mother-in-law. Gitanjali says, “It is a treat to stay with my mother-in-law. She is very entertaining and caring. One more thing that we share is the love for shopping. Whenever we are free we just go shopping.” We wish the newly weds a great future.
