MUMBAI: Mreenal Deshraj is a well-known actress on the small screen. The diva is popularly known for her role in Star Plus' show Ishqbaaaz. The actress played the role of Jhanvi Singh Oberoi and enthralled the audience with her stellar performance. 

The beautiful diva has been a part of many TV shows such as Naagin, Adalat. She is also known for her role in Sorraj Barjatiya's film Vivah featuring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in lead. 

Mreenal has portrayed several negative characters in her long career span and aced each one of them like a pro.

During her recent interview with TellyChakkar, Mreenal spoke at length about her work and what kind of roles she is looking forward to. 

The actress revealed that she is getting exciting offers even now but she is not able to accept them for some reason. 

Further, when asked if she is willing to take up negative roles, Mreenal said, "I'm done portraying negative roles onscreen. I don't want to do it anymore." 

Revealing the reason behind it, Mreenal said, "It takes a lot of energy from you when you play such characters onscreen. I don't have that energy left and I wish to portray light-hearted roles now." 

Well, all those who are not aware Mreenal has portrayed some of the most stylish roles with grey shades and won accolades for it. 

While Mreenal is willing to explore more, we are hoping to see her in some really different roles on screen soon!
