MUMBAI: Actor Sameer Patil, who plays Gopal Sharma in Tumm Se Tumm Tak—a new project by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah, produced under their banner Studio LSD—shared that he liked the core concept of the show. He said, “The unusual love story, the overall plot, and my character really attracted me to Tumm Se Tumm Tak.”“It felt refreshing and meaningful,” he added. The show revolves around an age-gap relationship, and though he feels that it is rarely seen on Indian television, he shared that the show goes beyond that. He said, “It’s about two individuals from very different social backgrounds. From what I’ve seen during the shoot and the initial episodes, I believe the producers and the creative team are doing complete justice to the theme.”
Talking about his character, he shared that Gopal represents today’s middle-class man. “He’s honest, believes in hard work and self-respect, and is a complete family man. He’s a loving father, and his bond with his daughter is particularly special—that connection really drew me to the story,” he said.
However, he confessed that the role came with its challenges. He said, “For portraying a character like Gopal Sharma required me to maintain a low profile while still keeping him emotionally relatable and real. Striking that balance is challenging, but with the help of strong writing and direction, I was able to bring him to life convincingly.”
Sameer believes that the audience will relate to Gopal’s everyday struggles to provide for his family and to keep them happy. He added, “His loving relationship with his wife and especially his bond with his daughter will strike an emotional chord with viewers.”
This is the first time he is working with Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah, and he shared that the experience has been truly lovely and encouraging. “They are both warm, approachable, and very easy to work with. They are extremely supportive and relentless in their pursuit of quality—from every department involved. At the same time, they never interfere unnecessarily. That balance of creative freedom and professional commitment is something I deeply appreciate,” Sameer ended.
