Tellychakkar.com was the first to report about Life OK coming up with a biweekly show Rakshak, produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms. We had reported about Rajesh Shringarpure playing the principal role of the Rakshak with Purva Parag playing his wife.
We now hear that Karam Rajpal, who essayed the negative lead in Colors' Parichay, has been roped in to essay the role of Rajesh Shringarpure's son, who is a cop.
Rakshak is the story of this Good Samaritan who is seen where people need help or at places where injustice prevails. The guy takes law in his hands and punishes whoever is wrong. His son, essayed by Karam Rajpal is the righteous cop who is hell-bent to catch this Rakshak.
The shoot for the show has begun and Rakshak is slated to launch in end of November or early December (2012).
For the uninitiated, Karam Rajpal had been finalized to play the parallel lead in Star Plus' Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum, produced by Hats Off Productions. However, things did not materialize due to date issues, and Karam later went on to accept Rakshak. Tellychakkar.com recently reported about Mehul Vyas being roped in by the makers of Ek Doosre to enact the role which was supposed to be played by Karam.
When contacted, Karam Rajpal told us, “I cannot comment anything at this point of time.”
