Rajeshwari Sachdev is back on the small screen as Mangala Devi on Balika Vadhu (Sphereorigins) on Colors.

The show, which deals with the evil social custom of child marriage is a path-breaking one on television and the talented actress believes that such shows could make a difference to the society.

Speaking about the same, Rajeshwari said, “Honestly speaking, nothing can be changed overnight or you cannot expect that one fine morning you will wake up and see that everything has changed. Every change happens gradually and one needs time to make that happen."

“Having said that, I would like to add that I believe once everyone starts talking about certain social issues people become aware about it. So, once the issue is being discussed in the media, I believe there will be some effect", added the lovely lady.

The actress also mentioned that there are lots of issues in our society, which currently needs our attention. “There are lots of social issues that need our attention now. Women empowerment is undoubtedly one of the biggest issues of the current time, but issues of male victimization are also coming up."

“I have heard of cases where males have been victimized misusing the laws, which were introduced for empowering women. We have to realize that every change brings along some new issues with it. I believe that the message of women empowerment has not yet reached to those, who need it the most," she said.

Before signing off, Rajeshwari also mentioned how happy she was to try her hands at new projects and spread awareness in the society.
