Manish Naggdev enters Santaan

Manish Naggdev , who became popular as Chinu, confidante of Sagar (Sharad Malhotra in Dulhann) is all set to enter Star Plus’ Santaan . The actor will play a character similar to that of Ajay Devgan of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Talking about his character, Manish says, “My character’s name is Nishant, a hard-working executive in Kartik’s office, who is lead actress Suhana’s (Daljit Kaur) brother. I will get married to Suhana, who is actually in love with another guy. Later, I will come to know about her love and will try to reunite them.” “Nishant is someone who strongly believes in ethics and values. Nishant is very different a character from Chinu of Dulhann. Nishant is a well-educated and chivalrous guy whereas Chinu was uneducated and stayed back home,” adds the actor. It is said that earlier his character was named as Nishabd, so why was it changed later? Manish says, “Earlier when Nishabd was decided on, the channel and the production house thought that the name reminds everyone of Bollywood actress Jiah Khan.”
