It’s a saviour for actors to have a backup plan for the glamour industry is injected with [professional insecurities.
We recently came across Mayank Gandhi’s professional details and got to know that the actor owns a media and branding company named Code Entertainment. When we buzzed the actor he informed us with a smile, “I belong to a business family and thus it runs in my blood. And acting too is in my genes for this is my father’s long unfulfilled dream.”
Shedding more light into it he revealed, “My dad had won the Filmfare talent hunt in the 70’s but my grand dad did not allow him to get into acting. 10 years later when I was born, I guess that bug bit me and thankfully with dad’s support I could get into acting. I have been part of some wonderful shows like Kasamh Se, Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Gumrah, among many.”
Then how did business come about? “See I basically am very much interested in how the media industry works. Acting surely is a passion but everyone knows how insecure this profession is. I wanted to have something of my own and thus launched my entertainment company. We are also planning to get into co-producing and distribution of films apart from events and brandings.”
So which job he enjoys the most? “I surely love acting but I also enjoy the duties of my business a lot. The response has been really encouraging and I am ready to roar along. Also since I love partying with my friends we have also signed on some international DJs and are organizing some kickass parties around the town. So my work definitely gives me a lot of pleasure too,” he laughed.
So has acting taken a backseat? Defended Mayank, “Not at all! I am always ready to face the camera, just waiting for some good projects to come my way.”
