MUMBAI: Rakshabandhan 2020 has concluded with many brothers and sisters religiously following the tradition. While the sisters tied rakhi on their wrists, brother vouched to protect them. Well, also a lot of people couldn’t physically celebrate the festival together because of the pandemic, the digital boom did enable the siblings to celebrate the same digitally. Well, MTV Splitsvilla X2 fame Piyush Sharma found a beautiful sister in actress Aparna Dixit this Rakshabandhan.

Aparna happens to be an extremely close friend of Piyush’s girlfriend Khushi and that’s how Piyush and Aparna met. The duo instantly hit off and gelled along brilliantly and hence decided to celebrate Rakshabandhan.

TellyChakkar.com got in touch with Piyush to know more about her new found sister in the town, he said, “It’s hard to find family like friends in Mumbai and I am blessed this year even with the current situation of lockdown I am blessed to have been able to celebrate Rakshabhandhan at home away from home. This is mine and Appy’s (Aparna) first Rakhi.

I met her through my girlfriend Khushi as she is her best friend. Being an introvert, I couldn’t get along too well with all of her friends, but I felt an instant connection with Appy. I think she being a phenomenal actor could also be one of the reasons for the instant connection. She is kind of like my elder sister Charu, the way Appy is, I could actually see a glimpse of my real sister in her”.

He added, “I hardly know people from the industry but co-incidence is I’ve seen glimpses of her in TV shows as my mother used to follow her shows rigorously. I think destiny has its own way of making people meet”.
