Our antennae has picked up signals that former Miss India Namrata Shirodkar and Indian television's hot star Rajeev Khandelwal are likely to be cast together to play the main roles in one of the forthcoming shows on Sony Entertainment Television.
The show in question will be a love story produced by Anubhav Sinha Productions. We hear, Sinha's wife, Ratna, will hold the reins for this particular assignment.
Anubhav Sinha, made a name for himself with some of the most talked about music videos. His hits included the music videos of Sonu Nigam's albums Tu, Jaan, Deewana and Yaad. Anubhav also had some successful TV serials under his belt- Shikast and Sea Hawks to name a few.
The pilot was supposed to be shot this week but has been postponed to early January.
While Shirodkar was last seen in Arindam Chaudhary's Rok Sako To Rok Lo, Khandelwal is still very much a part of Ekta Kapoor's Kahiin To Hoga on Star Plus.
Shirodkar's performances have often won her acclaim among the critics and audience alike. Her portrayal of the non-glamorous Jaya in Gurinder's Pride and Prejudice was the only saving grace in the otherwise disappointing flick which, despite tremendous media hype that preceded its release, met with a lukewarm response in the country.
Shirodkar, who came fourth in the Miss Universe Pageant and made her debut in Hero Hindustani, won a lot of praise also for her role of a prostitute in Sanjay Dutt starrer Vaastav.
