Actor Pankaj Vishnu is a popular name in Marathi TV and cinema. The actor who came to limelight on Hindi TV with his negative portrayal of Ajit in Balaji Telefilms’ Pavitra Rishta awaits the release of the film Zanjeer, produced and directed by Apoorva Lakhia.

Talking about his role in the movie, Pankaj says, “Well, it is a very important cameo. Though the role is not long, it is a very prominent one in terms of storytelling. My role is one of the precursors for the young Vijay growing up to become the angry young man.”

On being part of the remake of such a big movie of the stature of the 1973 super hit Zanjeer starring Amitabh Bachchan, the actor states, “Amitabh Bachchan’s Zanjeer was a path-breaking movie and everyone knows it. And I am honoured to be part of its remake. And it is indeed surprising to know that Amitabh was not the first choice for the role.”

Pankaj who is presently seen essaying the role of Kulbhushan in Zee TV’s Hitler Didi (Trilogy Media Pvt. Ltd) is happy with the way his role has progressed. “I have always played positive lead characters in Marathi films and serials. However, when it comes to the Hindi television scenario, I have always been offered negative characters. Having said this, the Haryanvi lingo and look given to the character of Kulbhushan is fun, and I enjoy playing it,” avers the actor.
Pankaj, we wish you all the very best for Zanjeer!!!
