Prabhu Deva to judge dance reality show

Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva, the dance reality show for those above 16 years which will be judged by leading choreographer Prabhu Deva is sure to rock audiences.

The first level of ground auditions took place in Trichy, Coimbatore and Madurai. Choreographers Sridhar Master and Gautham (Son of Major Sundarajan) were the judges for the Trichy and Coimbatore zonal auditions. Actress Tejashree and Choreographer Sridhar were the judges for the Madurai zonal auditions. Out of the 600 interested contestants, only 23 from Trichy and 27 from Coimbatore and 20 from Madurai were qualified for the next level respectively.

The next set of auditions took place in Chennai on August 16, 2008. Over 1500 young and aspiring dancers participated with great zeal and their passion for dance was evident in their performance.

Chennai auditions saw a huge response and out of the 1500 dancers, 280 were selected from the Day 1 auditions. Choreographer Sridhar along with a surprise guest from the film fraternity will be choosing the final faces from the Chennai zone.

The short-listed dancers would be given exposure on different dance forms as they clear one stage after the other and only the hottest pair of dancing feet will win the title and prize money of Rs 10 lakh.

Celebrity judges from the film industry and popular choreographers from various dance schools across Chennai are roped in to judge the selected performers from different zones.

Actress Ramya will be hosting the show.

The show goes on air from August 21 at 9pm on Vijay TV.
