MUMBAI: Rahul Vaidya is one of the most loved and successful singers in the entertainment industry. In a recent interview he revealed how reality shows are scripted.

Rahul Vaidya, who rose to massive popularity following his memorable stint on Bigg Boss, is once again making headlines—this time for his candid take on the world of reality television. Known for his musical prowess, unfiltered honesty, and deep camaraderie with fellow contestant Aly Goni, Rahul became a household name after finishing as the first runner-up of the high-voltage reality show.

Although he narrowly missed clinching the Bigg Boss trophy, Rahul's journey earned him a loyal fan base and widespread appreciation. He later went on to challenge himself on Khatron Ke Khiladi, where he faced his fears and tackled daunting stunts, proving his mettle. Since then, the singer had taken a step back from the television spotlight—until now.

Currently, Rahul is serving up laughter (and some kitchen chaos) on the second season of Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment. Interestingly, he’s teamed up with Rubina Dilaik—his former Bigg Boss rival turned ally. The unlikely duo has surprised audiences with their newfound camaraderie, offering a delightful mix of humour and playful banter that’s keeping viewers hooked.

However, it was during a recent interview that Rahul truly turned heads by lifting the lid on what really goes on behind the scenes of reality shows. Speaking with refreshing honesty, he remarked, “Every show follows the same format. There's always a sob story—it’s almost become a template, especially in singing competitions. That’s where the TRPs come from.”

He went on to make an even more startling revelation, stating bluntly, “Nothing is real in reality shows. Everything is scripted.”

Rahul’s frank admission has sparked widespread debate among fans and industry insiders alike. And given his first-hand experience across multiple reality formats—from music and adventure to celebrity-based shows—his words carry undeniable weight.

Whether one agrees or not, Rahul Vaidya’s truth bomb has certainly added a new layer of intrigue to the glitzy world of reality TV.
