Rajesh Khera talks about his road trip to Uttarakhand

Rajesh Khera
The very talented Rajesh Khera, who has impressed viewers with his amazing personality and acting talent over the years, is also a travel fanatic who enjoys going on road trips. Recently, the actor hopped on his bike and got going all the way to Uttarakhand for a ten days trip where he had the most wonderful time enjoying the nature. “If someone had seen the film Brokeback Mountain, they would be amazed to see similar landscapes in our country too. I and one of my rider friends chose to go for this 2000 km ride where we had the most wonderful adventurous time,” he shares. Talking more on that he adds, “I have been doing such road trips for quite some time and it is always a very special time for me. I enjoy going to such natural places and living with the locals in their house and enjoying delicacies. They are the simplest and nicest people and one can just have a great time being with them.” So any challenges that they had to face on their trip? “Honestly I am someone who goes prepared. But my partner lost his keys during our journey and that caused quite a lot of trouble for us. And then his petrol tank also started leaking and we had to mend it ourselves. So yes, a bit of tragedy did happen,” Rajesh laughed. He further added, “Also while climbing one of the cliffs, my legs just gave up and to avoid the severe pain, I rode on a horse. And that was such a wrong move for every time the horse stepped on some rough surface it hit my bottom really badly. I had a sore bottom at the end of the day (laughs).” The actor also enjoyed some of the best quality of fresh fruits on his way. “Dusheri mangoes and litchis in the area were so yummy. They were found every few meters and we had heart full of the delicious fruits. Also I got to relish a wild fruit’s juice which was superb. The local food stalls there, present some of the best food and I survived well with the paratha, achaar and dahi on the go.” And finally when we asked him whether he plans to go on another trip soon, Rajesh laughed. “Not another two years. My body needs to relax and get over all this lethargy. Also I feel that whenever one wants to go on a road trip they should go with lots of people- the more the merrier. You actually enjoy much more that way.” Point taken!
