Rashmi Pitre, a painter by profession in addition to being an actor, specializes in abstract paintings on nature. Being involved in this passion from her childhood, her paintings have received international acclaim, being presented in many exhibitions.
The actress known for her role of Chaturi in Diya Aur Baati Hum celebrates her birthday today (25 December), and is excited that her joyous celebrations will coincide with that of Christmas.
Says Rashmi, “Santa has always been with me on my birthday, and it feels really great. This year I am doubly thrilled as my exhibition of paintings is presently on at IBAR, Near Rangsharda, Bandra.”
This proves to be yet another feather in her cap for Rashmi, who has nearly 40 art shows under her credit, both in India and abroad.
Also, this birthday is special as her paintings have been used in the Christmas greeting cards of the brand Coopervision, the famous and authentic lens brand. The proud painter in Rashmi avers, “Yes, Coopervision has bought my painting and they have used it as a cover for their Christmas greetings. They are sending these cards to their customers in India and other parts of the world.”
She adds on, “Since it is a Christmas card, I feel this is a special gift from Santa Claus to me on my birthday today.”
