Another Zee show has ended it's run! After Rabba..., now, it's the turn of the political drama, Sarrkkar, to go off air. With the way things are going, it seems that the channel has decided to pull the plug off their present shows to perhaps accomodate shows that are waiting in the pipeline.

"We had a contract of 52 episodes, which expires in April and the channel's taken a call not to extend it," says producer, Manish Goswami.

"Yes, I know that the show's going off air! I don't know how it's going to end because I just returned from Delhi and have only shot for a day. So I can't give you any details," says Tisca, who plays Urvashi in the show.

Sarrkkar's a show that was a class apart. In an environment of saas-bahu sagas, this story about a political family, was not only different, but classy. The show had high profile actors and was mired in controversies that sometimes overshadowed the content of the show itself.

"All good things come to an end...we have to move on," says Shweta Salve -- perhaps this is the best way to salvage some pride from a show that had a lot of promise and could have done well, given an extension.

The last day of shooting for the show is 21 April.
