MUMBAI: is where the filmy duniya and the TV world eats, lives and breathes. Said to be one of the most expensive cities of the country, it can get even worse if you have to continue with a certain lifestyle. And for actors, who need to maintain their image, it’s not getting any easier. With the lockdown being extended till May 31st, their careers, like most of the others, are stuck. So, here are some celebrities telling us how they are managing their expenses during this time. 

Amal Sehrawat: There's a famous saying, "Save For Rainy Days”, this philosophy has saved Indians in times like recession and it will help even now in this pandemic of COVID-19. My advice to everyone is that keep your expenses to minimum till the time things get back to normal. This too shall pass. Nothing is permanent.

Arun Mandola: Mumbai is very expensive anyway. One has to save for the future. I have always been very cautious when it comes to spending money. I tried to save some extra for my savings. Lifestyle is all up to you. One should balance. My advice is to stay positive in the current situation. Many people take no care of their money till they come nearly to the end of it, don’t do that.

Kettan Singh: Money, like emotions, is something you must control to keep your life on the right track. The lockdown has been tough for all of us. The industry’s pay system is also slow. I am managing ok as I have saved some money, but this situation is not permanent. I believe if you're saving, you're succeeding.

Jasmin Bhasin: One should be particular about money management. We didn't need lockdown to understand the realities of life. Savings are important and also spending where it is needed and investing where it can multiply. The situation and circumstances are unpredictable for everyone in every sector, not just the entertainment industry. Actors have to maintain life and lifestyle but one must not fake it. Showing off is just not needed. At the end of the day, we all are in the same boat.

Aniruddh Dave: There is a saying “jitni chaadar ho utna hi pair pasarna chhaiye”. One has to be careful with regards to money management. Uncertainty and unpredictability are a reality in all professions. Lockdown has made everyone think realistically. An actor has to maintain a certain image that is a fact but no show-off is needed and actors need to live realistically. I live in the present and realistically and recommend that to everyone.
