Seema Mishra’s ‘unique’ take on LOVE

Actress Seema Mishra shares her thoughts on ‘love’...
Seema Mishra

Actress Seema Mishra is very much unlike her on-screen character of Nivedita, which she portrays for the Life OK show, Kalash.

While as Nivedita, she will do anything and everything to get back her love, Seema in real life feels that love is all about expressing one’s feelings in an honest way. And even when you love the person unconditionally, you should not aspire for him if he is not yours!!

Aww!! Such a contrast from ‘real’ and ‘reel’.

Ask Seema about love, and she is quick to say, “I love the idea of being in love; I love the idea of loving someone. But love for me is as good as like. There is a very fine line that separates ‘love’ and ‘like’. If you like someone, you tend to respect the person. If you love him, you will get possessive about him.”

Seema also has an interesting point of view on ‘marriage’.

“Marriage is an overused and abused term which has lost its essence. I would like to go for ‘partnership’ rather than ‘marriage’ and ‘liking’ over ‘loving’. There are many people I like, but very few who I love.  When you love a person, you just don’t do anything to hurt the person. I love my mother unconditionally. Also, I have someone special in my life, and also many special things that I love.”

Elaborating further, she states, “I have been in love with the plants, trees, flowers, my home etc. It is an endless process. But the one close to my heart is the bond that I share with my mom.”

On marriage she further clarifies, “I don’t understand marriage. I see it as the legal mode to live together and make babies. But I am neutral on the thought of marriage. I will rather go in for a setup wherein I need not go through the process of legalizing a relationship to make babies.”

Ask her about the man in her life and she is quick to say, “Well, he’s not from the industry. And I don’t want to talk about it. It is an unimportant part of my life that need not come out in the open.”

Lastly, Seema also confides in us, “If I do get married some time in my life, it will only be after fully understanding the meaning of marriage. However, when I go through it, it will definitely not be a typical marriage wherein all the norms and rituals will happen.”

Wow!! Some interesting thoughts on love!! Way to go, Seema.
