Namita Thapar posted a thought-provoking video on her Instagram account that addressed the worrying increase in obesity. In the video, Thapar stressed the value of eating meals prepared at home and issued a warning against consuming large quantities of food that have been artificially colored, flavored, salted, or sugar.

"Your food is your medicine," she stated in a thought-provoking video, advising her fans to value home-cooked meals more than the ease of delivery services. The Shark Tank India judge emphasized how eating a lot of food from outside, which frequently has high amounts of sugar, salt, artificial coloring, and flavorings, can have negative impacts on health and lead to an increase in obesity rates.

Seventy percent of people are overweight, according to certain surveys. Thapar emphasized the connection between obesity and conditions like cancer, heart disease, knee problems, and breathing difficulties.

Her message resonated with a call to action, urging individuals to opt for home-cooked meals as a preventive measure against obesity and its associated health risks.

In her Instagram caption, Namita Thapar wrote, “As I continue my mission of educating on health, today’s episode # 41 is on bariatric surgery. Please note that I am not for or against bariatric surgery. Prevention is always better than cure. But where all else fails & obesity results in massive health conditions as well as a poor life, this surgery may be the last resort & in such cases, we must educate ourselves first.”

Speaking about bariatric surgery, she highlighted the need to make educated choices. Namita thinks it's better to avoid issues than to address them after the fact. She does acknowledge that surgery might be an option if obesity results in major health problems and lowers quality of life, but only in extreme cases.
