The digital buzz is taking the entertainment industry by storm!
There’s a certainty of content deluge on webspace with the launch of Balaji Telefilms’ ambitious OTT venture ALT. Other traditional networks like Voot, Hotstar are also uping the ante to thump authority in the similar space.
Accordingly, as per credible sources, Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd has been commissioned to helm an eight episodes web series on Viacom’s Voot.
Shares a source, “The plot will focus on the complexities of human relationships. It will be bold, funny, romantic and completely dramatic.”
Furthermore, to add element of gravitas to the story, Meiyang Chang and Shiv Pandit have been signed to play lead roles.
Acclaimed director Ashima Chibber (Mere Dad Ki Maruti movie fame) will be directing the series. Ashima, apart from handling YFilms Ladies Room, has also worked on TV in shows namely Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, MTV Fanaah and Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
We reached out to Chang, Shiv and the makers for a comment but did not get any revert till the time of filing the story.
